OUR MENTORS, OUR INSPIRATION
An inspiration for all of us. Here are a few words of his fruitful journey;
“I joined the army as an Officer in Infantry in Assam Regiment and was posted in a border area in eyeball to eyeball contact with Pakistani army personnel. Carried out anti terrorist operations for two years before moving into a technical role in the Punjab. I was nominated to undergo a degree in engineering during this tenure and proceeded to Pune and Secunderabad to pursue professional degree. On completion of this course, I was posted on Deputation with a Paramilitary (Central Police Org under Home ministry) in the North Eastern parts of India. I actively took part in anti terrorist operations during this tenure and was a part of operations which involved cross border operations inside Burma. After this tenure, I was nominated to undergo a M.Tech equivalent professional course and I specialized in Guns and Armaments (Tanks and Artillery weapons with a range of 40 kms plus).
I was then posted as an Officer Commanding to a technical unit which provided support to 27 different army establishments. I was thereafter posted as Officer Commanding to an Army Air Defence unit which specialized in ensuring enemy aircrafts do not enter Indian Airspace. As a Joint Director Technical during this tenure, I was responsible for controlling maintenance of Air Defence Equipment of multiple units deployed across the borders. Thereafter, I moved into a tenure wherein I was again posted in Kashmir and was responsible for maintaining Air Defence Equipment deployed all across the borders in Kashmir and in Leh/Ladakh. My next tenure was in Ambala where I was responsible for maintaining Technical Doctrine of equipment worth $1 Billion. My next tenure was again a highly operational area in Kashmir and was actively involved inanti terrorist operations for 2.5 years before moving to Pune where I was involved in Base Overhaul and Equipment Resuscitation of Indian Army tanks and Indian Air Force engineering equipment.
I proceeded on voluntary pre mature retirement from here though I would have been a Colonel as I wanted to explore a civil career after pursuing my management degree from IIM Ahmedabad
And now I am A data-driven veteran with robust leadership & diverse team management skills, proficiency in project planning & timely delivery of projects, life cycle engineering, supply chain operations in challenging environments and a penchant for setting ambitious goals and inspiring teams to surpass expectations while navigating complex cross functional and cross-cultural dynamics
